Accounting Principals is searching for a progressive Payroll Manager for a direct hire, partial remote opportunity located near Dunwoody!!! 

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of recent, stable payroll management experience!  Proven success in team development and excellent technical skills including Advanced Excel is required.  Must have experience managing up to 3 Payroll Specialists in addition to process improvement, implementation and excellent verbal/written communication!!!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with payroll vendors to resolve tax matters
  • Manage the processing of status changes, tax updates, garnishments, liens, direct deposit elections and other mandatory and voluntary deductions
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of payroll records to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Answer routine inquiries concerning payroll issues in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to internal control processes when initiating, recording, summarizing and reporting payroll transactions
  • Qualifications:

  • Experienced manager of process and people
  • Understanding of multi-state payroll practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of HR and Benefits experience is a huge plus in addition to accounting.
  • Excellent Excel skills
