Accounting Principals is conducting a search for a Payroll Manager (Direct Hire) to lead an established retail distribution company based out of Nashville. Reporting to the CFO, this position is responsible for leading the payroll process from start to finish while also supervising one direct report. This person will train new employees and play the key role to ensure timely payrolls each week. Duties
Process biweekly and weekly payrolls for hourly/salaried employees over multiple states throughout the US (400+ employees)
Approve employee self service updates to addresses, direct deposits and W4s
Calculate and input garnishments, child support and tax levies
Process journal entries and payroll reconciliations in SAP
Add new state and state unemployment accounts when needed
Prepare reports to support 401k audits and Workman's Comp audits
Analyze year end balancing to ensure W2 processing
Expense report preparation
Implement guidelines and procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experince processing a multi state payroll
Prior expertise working with payroll accounting & compliance
High School Diploma
Proven tenure with previous employment
Payroll Manager:
$75-80,000/salary
Direct Hire/ Onsite (This is not a WFH position)
Hours: M-F (8am-5pm)- occassinal OT
