Accounting Principals is seeking an experienced Payroll Coordinator to be responsible for all payroll-related tasks for roughly 1000+ employees. Our client is located in the Bedford Heights, Ohio area. This professional would have job duties that include processing multi-state payroll, collecting, auditing employee timesheets, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This is a contract to hire opportunity looking to move fast!
Process payroll (1000+ employees) hourly, salaried, and OT
Entering data into payroll software (ADP)
Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, garnishments and commissions.
Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits.
Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
Preparing financial reports
Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.
Assist the AR department as needed
3 to 5 years of experience processing payroll
Degree in accounting is preferred but not required
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, payroll practices, state and local laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract to hire
Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $21 to $25 an hour, depending on experience
