Accounting Principals is looking for a self-motivated, high energy Payroll Coordinator in Green Brook, NJ  for a contract to hire role.  The right individual for this position will be able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple payroll practitioners, while maintaining a high level of accounting services and professionalism.


Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process weekly and biweekly payroll for all exempt and non-exempt employees, and off-cycle requests for US.
  • Prepare and execute multi-state taxation activities related to payroll, including federal, state, and local tax.
  • Review timecards in Winteam/EHUB Timekeeping system for accuracy, process changes to employee timecards, audit batch information for accuracy and ensure timely execution of data for processing.
  • Identify, research. and resolve payroll discrepancies within strict time constraints through independent analysis and evaluation, taking corrective action to avoid pay issues.
  • Process termination and final payments in accordance with State and Federal requirements and within company guidelines.
  • Maintain and reconcile payroll funding activity and provide timely feedback to the accounting team on all payroll transactions and adjustments.
  • Assist with the year-end and special projects as needed.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with any special projects as needed.
  • Experiences

  • 3 to 5 years of related payroll experience
  • Experience in Multi-State payroll taxation
  • Supporting workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are recorded and processed accurately in a timely manner.
  • The experience of working in a payroll union environment.
  • Skills

    The following are the basic qualifications:        

  • Experience working with ADP, WinTeam, or Workday Payroll/Human Resource System.
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables and VLOOKUPS
  • The capability of dealing with pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be extremely detail oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
