Accounting Principals is searching for a Payroll Coordinator for a client, an industry leader, in East Hanover, New Jersey.  This is a contract to hire position and is a great opportunity to get involved with a reputable, growing organization.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for all aspects of payroll administration and processing for one of two payroll companies
  • Processing daily payroll operations
  • Reviewing accuracy of the second payroll processed on a bi-weekly basis
  • Preparing calculations of wages, overtime, comp time and deductions
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations & wage and hour laws
  • Assisting with preparing bi-weekly payroll journal entries
  • Processing new hires, employee status changes and additional earnings
  • Reviewing time and attendance records
  • Preparing reports for management
  • Coordinating 401K contribution data
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Qualiifcations:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of payroll experience
  • Proficiency in ADP 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Process improvement mentality
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented
