Accounting Principals has partnered with a well-established architectural firm local to Corona, CA. We are seeking a Payroll professional with certfiied and prevailing wage experience. This position will be responsible for collecting and auditing timecards, calculating hours, setting up deductions and submitting certified payroll reports. Additional duties may include supporting HR and Accounting with miscellenous duties. 

Primary job functions:

  • Payroll administrator is responsible for company-wide payroll processing as well as assistance of the accounting department with duties related to payroll.
  • Processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll, maintaining the required payroll records
  • Entering new hire information, processing new hire forms including W-4 and I-9
  • Processing deductions such as garnishments and income execution orders. Generation of payroll reports for management
  • Posting general ledger entries to record payroll
  • Track all employees’ PTO (paid time off) including, sick, personal, and vacation days
  • Respond to employment verifications
  • Process benefit enrollment forms and assist employees during open enrollment periods
  • Process manual checks when required 
  • Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting OR equivalent work experience
  •  3- 4 years of experience in payroll processing
  •  HR and benefit administration experience preferred  
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws
  •  Excellent written/verbal communication kills
  •  Ability to multi-task and work to complete assigned tasks under deadlines
  • Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
  • Compensation:

  • $20 - 24/hr DOE.
