Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator with 1 or more years of Payroll processing experience. The ideal candidate will be driven and motivated to learn on the job. This is a full-time position and has the option to be fully remote.

The Payroll Coordinator will be processing bi-weekly, multi-state, payroll using ADP payroll system.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-monthly payroll using ADP payroll system
  • Process off-cycle payments
  • Process employee repayments
  • Prorate earnings and deductions for employees who are paid for a partial pay period
  • Calculate earnings for employees on Leave of Absence
  • Research/resolve employee inquiries
  • Aid employees with access to ADP Payroll Self Service
  • Administer garnishments, child support, tax levies
  • Other duties as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Associates and/or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Proficient in the use of ADP payroll systems preferred
  • Experience:

  • At least one (1) year of experience processing payroll preferred but not required
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred
  • Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and standard payroll processing procedures
  • Display superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of working and communicating effectively with professionals at all levels
  • Able to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple tasks with an attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll information
  • Possess superior customer service skills
  • Employment Type: Full time, contract to hire

    Compensation:

  • $42,000 - $44,000
  • Work Hours: M – F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, 40 hours per week
