Our client is looking for an individual for a Payroll Coordinator job in Chicago, IL.  The ideal candidate must have experience processing payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees. Union knowledge is a plus. You would be processing biweekly payroll for over 1900 employees in the United States. You must also have ADP and Excel knowledge. This is a newly created role within a growing company.
 
Payroll Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
• Assist with processing and closing weekly payroll
• Analyze and resolve pay discrepancies and address other payroll questions and concerns
• Manage commission, garnishments and bonus payments
• Collect and manage timekeeping information
• Prepare exit package and final check calculations for employees
• Process and issue annual W-2 forms to employees
• Print and issue manual paychecks
 
Requirements:
• At least five years of payroll experience
• Human Resources experience is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is a preferred
• Experience with ADP is a plus
