Payroll Clerk - Saint Louis, MO
Do you have excellent data entry, MS Excel and experience with both union and non-union payroll processing? If so, we want to talk to you! Accounting Principals is seeking a Payroll Clerk in St. Louis, Missouri. Our client is a forward-thinking industry leader celebrating 100 years in St. Louis – growing and adding to their team with this temp-to-hire payroll clerk position.
Payroll Clerk Job Responsibilities:
-Set up new hires to include wage rates, union class, tax stats and other deductions
-Enter timesheets daily with project information – generating appropriate calculation of union pay – utilizing Excel time import application
-Record changes affecting net wages; such as exemptions and payroll deductions
-Answer employee questions related to payroll
-Prepare printed checks and sort for distribution
- One year prior payroll experience
- Intermediate level MS Excel skills
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
