One of our excellent clients in Raleigh has an immediate opening in Payroll.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for the Company.
Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications
Maintain and document all payroll records.
Conduct semi-annual audits of all payroll records.
Provide and/or record journal entries with regard to payroll transactions.
Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits issues or concerns.
Review payroll tax setups with payroll processing companies.
Ensure proper year-end w2s, 1099s, and 1095 are sent timely.
Oversee 401k and worker’s compensation audits.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Maintains and updates employee benefit information.
Manage and/or files required annual benefit information reports.
Reconcile and request payment for monthly billings for employee benefits as assigned.
Educate employees on what benefits are being offered by the company.
Ensuring the company's benefits and leave-of-absence policies comply with the law.
