Accounting Principals is currently seeking an Payroll Associate for equipment and service provider in Bloomington, MN.  This role is direct hire, in office and offers a competitive benefit package. If interested please keep on reading!

 

Position Summary:

The Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate preparation, disbursement, and processing of payroll in a global environment. This position will require interaction, daily, with all departments within the organization. This position also requires strong organizational, communication, accounting skills, and a keen attention to detail. The individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Deliver accurate and timely payroll services for the company with various facilities, in multiple countries to include exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Analyzes payroll data supplied by managers for accuracy and completeness, inputs, and balances payroll data accurately, processes payroll and reviews/analyzes payroll reports for accuracy and distributes timely.
  • Review process workflows of all new hire, changes, and terminations for multi-state payroll for accuracy.
  • Compile and input payroll data such as hours worked, time away, taxes, insurance, garnishment, and other withholding's.
  • Verifies employee personal and work-related changes such as promotions, terminations and bonuses are accurately reflected.
  • Assist in training managers on payroll systems and responsibilities for their employees.
  • Research, analyze and resolve all discrepancies, reporting to management as needed.
  • Participate in end of month closing and audits as needed.
  • Always remain in compliance with all legal and institutional requirements.
  • Maintain current, expert knowledge in federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations with responsibility for ensuring that all information processed is accurate and compliant; ensure that HR and management are aware of relevant changes to regulations.
  • Identifies payroll service solutions to streamline or enhance the payroll service delivery to employees and makes recommendations for improvements to processes and policies while maintaining compliance with laws and regulations applicable to payroll processing and administration.
  • Provides customer focused interaction ensuring timely response and effective follow-up on employee and/or internal requests and/or issues.
  • Assist Payroll Manager with system enhancements and configurations
  • Maintain Data Integrity in Dayforce through running queries, exception reporting and analyzing data
  • Assist with Reporting needs including writing, maintaining, and providing.
  • Support for reports to both Internal HR and external Business Partners.
  • Provide support for end users including researching issues, performing schedule activities, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Performs group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and research/reports
  • Benefits Reconciliations to ensure that expenses align with general ledger
