Accounting Principals is partnering with a stable construction company to identify an individual for a contract to hire Payroll and HR Specialist job in El Cajon, CA. You must have a minimum of three years of experience processing payroll and be bilingual in Spanish and English. In this role, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, reconciling data in Excel and running reports for labor compliance.
Payroll and HR Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 130 employees
Manage and track worker’s compensation reports
Reconciling payroll data
Manage labor compliance for specific projects
Review timesheets for accuracy
Process all new hire documents and all pre-employment checks are complete
Assist with recruiting and employee issues
Answer employee questions
Assist with various office duties and other bookkeeping work
Minimum three years of experience processing payroll
Experience in the construction industry preferred
Experience with labor compliance, certified/prevailing wage payroll preferred
Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
