Accounting Principals is partnering with a growing financial services organization to identify an individual for a direct hire Payroll Accountant job in San Diego, CA. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of two years of processing payroll.

The Payroll Accountant is responsible for processing payroll, preparing payroll reports, and assisting with payroll accounting and reconciliations.

Payroll Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Process multi-state payroll for bi-weekly multi-state payroll for over 400 salaried and hourly employees
  • Enter new hires into ADP system
  • Audit timecards as necessary and train employees/managers on use of system
  • Reconcile vacation and sick leave
  • Record benefit deductions and changes
  • Track and manage spreadsheet for commissions and monthly incentives
  • Maintain HSA Accounts and 401k accounts
  • Process garnishments
  • Process manual checks as necessary
  • Assist with benefits reconciliations
  • Maintain payroll records
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of payroll experience
  • Previous payroll system experience (ADP or similar system a plus)
  • Excellent customer service skills
