A healthcare company located in Albuquerque is in need of a Patient Care Advocate. The ideal candidate will be able to provide patients with stellar customer service while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude. Hours for this position are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assist members with questions regarding referrals and prior authorizations, provider network, appeals and grievance processes by addressing questions or concerns.
Process complaints and research issues
Work with appropriate internal and external partners.
Respond to customer inquiries via telephone and email with focus on resolving issues on the first call by using current reference materials and available resources to identify the status of the issue and provide appropriate response to the caller.
Meet performance goals established for the position in the areas of efficiency, call quality, provider satisfaction, first call resolution, and attendance.
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in customer service
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
Positive and professional attitude
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multi-task in a call center environment
