Accounting Principals is working with a Engineering company in Cherry Hill, NJ to identify a Senior Payroll Administrator for their team. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the operations for all payroll activities and projects related to payroll. The payroll manager will oversee the payroll functions; including Timecard processing, compiling payroll data, and maintaining control records to ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of payroll as well as supervising the payroll staff.

 Our client is looking to fill this position on a Direct Hire basis!

 

As the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the preparation of payroll, including tax reporting
  • Maintaining timely preparation of payroll and analyzing proposed changes in compensation
  • Establishing standard operating procedures
  • Providing oversight and participating in the bi-weekly payroll activities
  • Ensuring the accurate preparation and timely submission of government payroll reports
  • Managing the preparation of federal tax deposits
  • Overseeing the preparation and distribution of W-2’s and other related forms
  • Providing leadership for payroll associates in resolving payroll issues
  • Reconciling General Ledger accounts relating to Payroll on a monthly basis
  • Supervising, developing, training, and evaluating the performance of payroll staff to determine recommendations for promotions and disciplinary actions
  • Other functions as needed

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing
  • 3+ years in a payroll management position
  • Must have prior experience with System Conversions
  •  
  • Candidates with the following licenses will be preferred:

    Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
