Operations Specialist

Accounting Principals is looking to fill an Operations Specialist for one of our clients in New York, NY. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and settle all foreign exchange transaction for the Bank, including confirmations, reconciliations, investigations, risk, credit reporting and problem solution
  • Confirm all FX trades by phone, SWIFT or online and closely monitor all outgoing wires for potential fraud
  • Process all trades and wires within the established SLA following the Bank’s procedures and controls
  • Ensure timely resolution and correction of all incoming foreign funds and unclaimed funds
  • Handle escalated issues, resolve problems effectively and determine when it is necessary to involve management
  • Review daily reconciliation for all FX trades and FX wire exceptions to ensure accuracy of balances and postings
  • Create daily and on-demand reports that include the daily metrics, Mark-to-Market reports, FCA statements and Nostro Balance Reports
  • Identify and report suspicious activity to the Anti-Money Laundering Officer
  • Know and Verify identity of clients who enters into a relationship with the Bank
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in Financial Services/Banking
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
  • Previous experience in foreign settlement and SWIFT messaging
  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals
  • Must be computer proficient
  • Must be able to communicate effectively via phone and in person
  • Skills:

  • Ability to multitask under pressure and tight time constraints
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Job Type: Remote

    Shift: 8:00am - 5:00 PM, PT
