Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor with previous loan experience for a full-time position in Austin, TX. This is a remote direct hire role that will focus primarily on processing conventional, FHA, VA and Bond mortgage loans.

This role will process mortgage loan documents, gather and verify information and assemble documentation to prepare for loan closing. Professionalism and excellent customer service skills are required along with strong attention to detail. Ideal candidates will be able to hit the ground running. This position will pay hourly offering overtime hours when needed and bonus potential on every processed loan.

Responsibilities include:

  • Gather loan document information and update applications
  • Prepare loan documents for underwriting approval
  • Review credit reports and all closing documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Stay current and comply with all federal and state regulations
  • Coordinate funding
  • Provide status updates to Loan Officers and/or borrowers
  • Review and verify documentation integrity to ensure it aligns with findings, completeness and compliance, and submit loan file to underwriting for approval
  • Identify qualifying/program issues prior to submission to Underwriting, and re-structure loan as necessary
  •  

     

    Qualifications include:

  • Minimum five or more years’ experience as a Loan Processor, preferably processing conventional and FHA loans
  • Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great analytical, reasoning and math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task
  • Professional and able to maintain strict confidentiality
