Responsibilities of this Mortgage Loan Processor job include:

  • Communicate effectively with customers, loan agents, and other 3rd parties involved in the mortgage loan transaction
  • Prepare and submit detailed loan packages to the lender underwriting department for approval or denial
  • Support one or more Loan Officers by ensuring loan files are complete and loans close as scheduled
  • Work with escrow to obtain all items necessary for disclosure e.g. estimated HUD, preliminary title report, closing protection letter and wire instructions
  • Package and submit complete files to operations through the Encompass program
  • Prepare doc request and submits to loan coordinator
  • Review all loan documents such as income, credit, appraisal and title insurance, to ensure complete and accurate information is in the file before it is sent to underwriting
  • Obtain and evaluate VOD, VOE, and credit reports
  • Coordinate loan closing with customers, title companies, and loan agents
  • Monitor daily workflow in order to ensure loans are closing on time
  • Process high volume of a variety of different mortgage loan types
  • Communicate with all parties involved, client relationship calls, realtor and escrow mgrs, etc.
  • Work directly with clients and provide top-tier customer service and fast turnaround time

    Minimum requirements:

  • Residential mortgage loan processing experience required
  • Understanding of different types of products, Residential, Conventional, FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac.
  • Experienced with Encompass, Calyx Point or other CRM
  • Experience with a pipeline of 15-25 loans/m
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills as this position requires communicating (email and on the phone) with many parties involved 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment
