Loan Officer Assistant

Accounting Principals is searching for a professional who has previous banking or mortgage industry experience for a direct hire Loan Officer Assistant position in Seattle, WA. You will be supporting a few Loan Officers to assist with borrower communication, completing loan files, and ensuring loans follow the appropriate timeline. Ideally, they would like to add someone to the team who has previous experience, however, they will consider individuals who have worked in a professional services firm (such as banking), who are familiar with the loan process, but who might be lacking residential mortgage lending experience. You will need to be located near the office since you will train for the first four weeks onsite. After that, you will be able to work mostly remote. Professional communication skills will be necessary and ability to be extremely organized and deadline oriented. This industry offers great longevity for someone who is looking to build a solid career with a rewarding bonus structure.


  • Reviewing loan documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Reaching out to borrowers for missing information
  • Following up with and updating borrowers on the loan timeline
  • Tracking and gathering all needed loan documents
  • Coordinating with internal teams to meet the loan deadlines
  • Additional tasks as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • At least a year of experience in the banking or mortgage industry
  • NMLS license would be preferred
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay organized
  • Work well with other team members and keep everyone informed on loan standings
