We are hiring for a Legal Billing Specialist in Downtown Milwaukee. This is a great opportunity to work for an established law firm and work with a growing and dynamic team. You will ensure client bills are submitted and collected for assigned billing attorneys and respond to client inquiries regarding client accounts. If you have two or more years of legal billing experience, this could be a great fit for you.

Legal Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Review client billing guidelines and manage appropriate rates in E-billing systems
  • Work with Attorneys and team members to ensure bills are prepared accurately in accordance with clients' outside counsel policies
  • Process edits and transfers to pre-bills as directed by billing attorneys keeping within the department and Firm standard turnaround time
  • Ensure time and disbursement entries on invoices are in accordance with client guidelines
  • Submit e-bills to clients and verify successful transmission
  • Track status of invoices uploaded identify all issues and works with billing attorneys and billing specialists to address client deductions and other issues
  • Generate bills and follow up with billing attorneys regarding deadlines, status of pre-bills, and prepared invoices

    Requirements:

  • At least two years of law firm billing experience or professional service billing
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience working in billing software
  • Deadline driven and professional
  •
