Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients looking to fill an Inventory Analyst job for the corporate office located in Alameda, CA.  This position is 100 percent in-office and is requiring vaccination. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of accounting or finance experience. The role will be responsible for auditing and processing all aspects of the costing related to the receipt of foreign direct import shipments, reconcile foreign shipments with purchase orders for containers with variances, analyze variance between estimates and the actual invoices for coding purposes, research and prepare journal entries for pier to warehouse charges review commission invoices, and projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications for the job include:

- Experience in inventory or cost accounting would be a plus

- Industry experience in retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) would be nice to have

- Solid knowledge of accounting knowing your debits and credits

- Excel abilities which include pivots table, vlookups, and formulas

- Team player, able to work independently, and energetic

- Reliable, positive, and meets deadlines

- Detailed, a problem-solver,  and organized

- Strong customer service and communications both written and verbal

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite)

- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree would be a plus and is NOT required

 

Experience: 1 year of accounting or finance experience

Compensation: $25.00 – $29.00 DOE

Employment Type: Temporary (through the year-end. Possible temp to perm)
