A typical day in this job will include preparing monthly billings to agencies based on grant agreements, auditing and reviewing grant budgets against actual spending, and completing required reports and audits for month end close. To be a match for this position, you should have at least two years of accounting experience in a non-profit environment, including experience with grants and contract accounting. You should also have excellent communication skills and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Collect information and review grant agreements in order to prepare monthly and quarterly billings to funding agencies
Track and review all grant spending and complete budget analysis
Notifying team of spending / budget discrepancies and request budget revisions
Receive and post grant payments
Post entries to the general ledger as needed
Create and complete financial reports based on grant agreements
Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual audits
At least two years of grants accounting experience
A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred, but not required
Must have a strong attention to detail
Ability to effectively problem solve and think critically
Excellent communication skills
Strong technical skills, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Permanent, Full Time Business Hours
Pay - $50,000 to $60,000 annually, depending on experience
Location - Mesa, AZ
