The Finance team in the Bronx area is seeking a highly skilled accounting professional with expertise in grants, government contracts, claiming, budgeting and budget modifications.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reimbursement claims and financial reports by compiling and analyzing financial information.
Prepare contract closeout submissions.
Collaborate with program directors to develop annual budget.
Prepare and submit annual award budgets and budget modifications.
Prepare budgets for new contracts and RFPs.
Prepare and review monthly variance reports with program directors and Director of Finance.
Monitor contract payments, including advances.
Prepare monthly contract billing summary for accounting.
Maintain Accrued Revenue Schedule and reconcile to Actual Billing.
Support month-end and year-end close process.
Support external governmental audits to ensure compliance.
Communicate effectively with Program Staff.
Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with our funders.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
3 years of experience working with government grants.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with SAGE Intacct or other accounting software
