Accounting Principals is working with a company in the Akron, Ohio area to search for a new Full Process Payroll Specialist to join their growing team! This person MUST have large volume experience processing payroll for as many as 1,000 employees. 

 

Responsibilities of this Payroll Specialist include:

  • Solely responsible for payroll for biweekly payroll for as many as 1000 employees
  • Responsible for timely and accurate processing of required payroll, reports, data input, and audit of payroll information entered
  • Prepare and book payroll related journal entries
  • Comply with all laws governing sales and use tax payment and the filing of 1099 and state related forms
  • Process annual W-2's, taxable fringe benefit input, 401(k) compliance and adjustment runs
  • Serve as main contact for all payroll related matters in a timely manner and provide excellent payroll support to all employees by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests
  • Establish working partnerships with other payroll team members as well as management, employees, and HR
  •  

    Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in Payroll
  • Experience using SAP is preferred
  • Multi-state experience is preferred 
  • Self-starter, integrity, reliable, attentive to details, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
