Non profit seeking Payroll and AP specialist.

Accounting Principals has partnered with a well-known non profit organization in south Denver offering an amazing opportunity to join a successful and supportive team.

Looking for that person who has the personality to fit in with a fun group as well and who has the talents to buckle down and "get the job done" with accuracy.


Location: South Denver, onsite

Schedule: M-F, 8-5

Possible direct hire (based on experience)

Pay: $20 - $26 (based on experience)

Starts: 1 week



About the roll:


Provide general accounting and finance support in payroll, accounts payable, inventory, and

financial analysis. Assist with the coordination of Finance, and Audit committee meetings

and the preparation of financial materials for Executive Committee and Board of Director

notebooks. Reconcile employee advance accounts, monitoring for timely reporting and resolving

any discrepancies. Prepare and file IRS Form 1099s in compliance with IRS regulations.


Day to Day:

  • Payroll professional; at least 3 years experience
  • AP Invoicing up to 130 invoices per week
  • Reconcile records
  • Financial support to accounting team
  • Prepare check requests/payments
  • Prepare audit work
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts
  • Organize financial materials for Exec Committee and Board of Director
  • Prepare year end 1099's
  • Payroll for up to 150 employees


  • 2 years accounting, GAAP knowledge required; non-profit accounting preferred
  • 3 years payroll processing
  • 3 years AP experience; 1099 experience a plus
  • Microsoft Office suite; Kronos is a plus
  • Someone who is willing to jump in and take off with it/go above and beyond with the job
