Financial Reporting and Budget Administrator
We are currently helping our client in Cincinnati with a Financial Reporting and Budget Administrator role. The Financial Reporting and Budget Administrator (FRB Administrator) will have responsibility for overall financial functions relating to the organization. This responsibility will entail the creation, implementation and maintenance of processes and procedures necessary to both timely and accurately complete assigned financial duties.
This position is temp to hire.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs, manages and is responsible for all financial and accounting functions associated with the assigned company program areas
Create and maintain financial reporting systems providing straightforward information that assists in the operation of the organization and as needed for HUD, Board of Commissioners, external stakeholders and the organization’s management
Prepare full disclosure governmental enterprise financial statements including statement of net assets, statement of activities, statement of cash flow, all notes concerning the assigned programs
Create and continually monitor and update all operational budgets
Review all purchase requisitions and ensure budgetary capacity prior to encumbering funds
Ensures industry standard best practices are implemented and maintained as they relate to assigned financial areas of responsibility
Ensure audit standards are met for assigned financial areas of responsibility
Assist in short term and long-term financial plans for the organization and its instrumentalities
Identify and maintain the fixed asset inventory
Assist in maintaining and reporting daily cash balances and cash projections for the organization
Maintain the general ledger accounts and all subsidiary ledgers for assigned financial areas of responsibility
Regularly and Routinely reconcile all accounts associated with the assigned financial areas of responsibility
Supervise and direct the work of staff including but not limited to monitoring for efficiency, accuracy and accountability
Select, interview and hire at the direction of the Director of Accounting; and
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Demonstrated ability to develop procedures and practices for increased efficiency while maintaining overall accuracy and improving productivity among staff
Demonstrated experience, comfort and skill in organizing and presenting financial information in understandable format
Demonstrated experience working with financial software applications and Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Master's in Business Administration with emphasis in finance/accounting
Certified Public Accountant
Experience in public sector fiscal and budgeting environment
Work with private entities in real estate and/or development partnerships
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s in accounting, finance, or business administration with emphasis on accounting/finance
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience, with four (4) years in professional financial management position involving staff management and overall accounting responsibility for a large, complex organization
