Accounting Principals is working with a national non-profit organization in New York, NY to fill a temporary Financial Coordinator position. We are searching for someone who really enjoys working for a mission-driven organization and that has previous experience in allocation of donations/funds to different programs. This position will start on a remote basis, but the organization is planning to have employees return to work on a part-time basis over the next few weeks.. Please read on for additional details!
Allocating incoming grant funds and donations to specific programs; Ensuring proper documentation for reporting purposes
Tracking expenses to ensure compliance and prevent overspending;Monitoring budget of programs and tracking spending
Reconciling bank statements to GL accounts; investigating any discrepant transactions
Prepare documentation and assist with audit procedures
Assist with any financial reporting as requested
Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance preferred
Exposure to processing funds/grants/donations in the non profit space is preferred
Strong MS Excel skills, including pivot table and vlookups
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
