Accounting Principals is seeking developing business professionals in the Colombus, GA area for a Financial Analyst position with a large financial services company. This role with be on-site in Columbus, GA and is offered on a full-time contract to hire basis. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; related degrees with an appropriate acompanying certification are also acceptable.
  • Any sort of experience (including internships) in a financial or accounting-oriented role.
  • CPA/CFA status is a huge plus.
  • Improvement-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and maintain active engagement with projects.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Perform various necessary functions to assist senior analysts in the timely completion of duties, primarily through budget planning/analysis, statistical reporting, coordination of ad-hoc studies, and resolution of basic financial issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of scheduled income and balance sheet reports, documentation of balance sheet variances and reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining accounting records.
  • Assist in routine audit preparation, escalting process issues (either current or anticipated) to management or an appropriate collegue. Respond to basic requests from external auditors.
