Accounting Principals is working with one of their long-time clients looking to fill a Financial Analyst job opportunity for this well-established East Bay company located in Richmond, CA. The right candidate should have at least 3 years of financial analysis experience. The candidate will report to the Division Controller and help support and grow the company based on business analytics, data management, general accounting, and adhoc projects as assigned. 


Responsibilities include:

- Compile and analyze diverse and complex account information to provide management with necessary information to help make business decisions

- Analyze and interpret data and make comparative analysis

- Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize financial information

- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing financial information

- General accounting responsibilities including routine month-end close activities including journal vouchers and reconciliations

- Assist CFO on adhoc projects as assigned


Qualifications for the job include:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required

- Industry with manufacturing or distribution would be a plus

- Solid knowledge of accounting, strong with reconciliations and knowing your general accounting debits and credits  

- Advanced Excel skills

- Attention to detail, problem-solver, analytical, and organized

- Excellent communications (written & verbal)  

- Advanced Excel skills


Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst.  Would consider a hybrid accounting analyst background

Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000
