Financial Analyst - Burbank CA

Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Financial Analyst with a Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, or Accounting and 3 years of work experience to include FP&A experience for a contract to full-time position at a well-established company in Burbank CA.  The position is remote but must be available for on-site training and meetings.  This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a growing team of like-minded financial professionals. Will be handling large volumes of data and knowledge of Tableau and similar systems helpful as well. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Finance, this Financial Analyst will be accountable for supporting and driving improvements in processes, controls, systems, and reporting that are necessary to support financial planning, analysis, and decision support for content operations.

Qualifications:

  • Budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Experience with building financial models, automating processes, and providing decision support
  • Detail oriented and organized; strong time management skills; ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  •  Customer focused
  • Demonstrates ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts and processes
  • Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP & COGNOS strongly preferred
  • Responsibilities:

  • Assists in preparing budgets, plans, and/or reports and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Build and manage forecast models and tools for planning and analysis
  • Perform analytics on financial statements to explain key drivers
  • Understand key drivers of financial forecast process and how these drivers impact close/forecast cycles
  • Support overhead budgeting, forecasting and cost trending analyses for assigned client groups
  • Make recommendations to management and clients on opportunities to operate efficiently and provide cost impact of alternative scenarios
  • Provide support to operations to ensure appropriate account coding,
  • Partner with vendors and operations to ensure invoices are paid timely and accurately. reconcile orders to calculate necessary accruals
  • Provide ongoing decision support and insights for content prep third party costs
  • Support cost savings initiatives and help track actual vs. planned spend
  • Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • Location:

  • Remote – Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
  • Must be available for onsite (Burbank CA) training and meeting.
