Domestic Account Manager

Accounting Principals is currently seeking a Domestic Account Manager with high customer service experience and knowledge of import/export logistics. This is an excellent direct hire role that offers the opportunity to work with a results-driven team and excellent company.

This role entails monitoring contract balances, tracking shipments and basic supply chain management. Our ideal candidate has great attention to detail, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and the ability to apply critical thinking skills that result in the identification of errors and proactively resolves issues as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor contract balances
  • Track on-going shipments (Advise internal teams & customers of delivery status)
  • Ensure inclusion of necessary documents to successfully execute shipment
  • Negotiate ocean and land transportation within cost analysis parameters
  • Identify potential opportunities to grow sales
  • Plan/forecast to improve current logistics processes & identify issues
  • Ensure PO’s received are accurate relative to contract terms & pricing
  • Confirm service providers bills and product costs relative to cost analysis
  • Work hand-in-hand with customers to ensure deliveries meet the production plan
  • Provide weekly updates to customers and suppliers regarding shipments
  • Assist/cross-train with team members regarding daily tasks
  • Create customer (weekly) & internal reports as necessary
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, International Business and/or Finance preferred
  •  Experience in Supply Chain or International Business preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • QuickBooks knowledge a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel 
  • Skills:

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills that result in identification of errors and proactively resolve issues as required
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly personality and must be a team player
