Direct Marketing Project Manager – Minneapolis

Accounting Principals is currently looking for a Non-IT Project Manager position for one of our clients in Minneapolis. This position is currently Hybrid but there is a possibility of going 100% remote after training.

The Direct Marketing Project Manager will manage the creation of direct marketing materials supporting credit card campaigns for various business lines.


  • Develop and manages the fulfillment of campaigns, including creative design, schedules, production matrix, managing mail plain, tests, and offer strategies, estimates and invoices against campaign budgets and expectations, etc.
  • Plans, optimizes, and improves future campaigns with a deep understanding of timelines
  • Reviews and approves audits and proofs for all components
  • Initiates requests for bids and quotes and evaluates responses and responsible for invoicing, tracking costs, reconciliations, and final billing
  • Engineers print and email creative designs for cost, time and production efficiency
  • Investigates new formats, technologies and production methods proactively
  • Influences creative designs to optimize vendor capabilities, response and bookings
  • Maintains and establishes quality control standards and check points
  • Manages vendor relationship by establishing and monitoring performance to recognized standards and effectively resolves production-related issues
  • Prioritize deliverables based on revenue drivers
  • Holds vendors accountable for SLAs, accuracy, and quality standards
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 6 years of Direct Marketing experience, including Familiarity with CANSPAM, familiarity with finance, large-scale print, email, and online processes
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Proven critical-thinking abilities
  • Willingness to take on special projects outside of day-to-day scope
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownerships of projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, word, outlook, teams, PowerPoint)
