Custody Operations Specialist – Corporate Actions

Accounting Principals is seeking a Custody Operations Specialist for one of our clients in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is to be performed on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching, reconciling, and posting Mandatory and Voluntary Corporate Action events
  • Verify critical data fields and set up Corporate Action Notifications to send to clients
  • Post and Reconcile Corporate Action event to client accounts, ensuring entitlement and taxability are accurate
  • Identify Corporate Action events in DTCC and XSP Systems
  • Ensure corporate action text is concise and includes all pertinent information needed for clients to base their decisions
  • Research taxability on complex actions to ensure gains/losses are accurate based on event details
  • Quickly identify and resolve differences between custody system and depositories to mitigate risk of financial loss
  • Work directly with Settlement teams on trade fails caused by corporate actions
  • Ability to explain and answer any questions regarding complex Corporate Action events
  • Work directly with Management on procedures, controls, and internal/external audits
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • High Attention to detail
  • Time Management
  • Must follow directions and procedures
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work in High volume environments
