An Orlando-based consumer goods manufacturer is seeking a Credit & Collections Manager to lead a team of 5-10 Collections Associates. This individual must display strong leadership skills and the ability to drive and motivate a team to deliver results.
**B2B experience collecting on corporate, national, and wholesale accounts preferred
Collect open invoices and short-payments; document attempts and follow-up communications
Minimize customer discounts; issue credits and post journal entries for valid payment deductions
Account reconciliations to identify outstanding balances caused by pricing errors, returns, inventory inaccuracies, etc.
Weekly audit of cash balances against billing, received payments, credits issued, merchandise sold, and remaining inventory
Utilize Excel to manipulate data before uploading to web-based accounting software
5-10 consecutive years of related commercial Credit & Collections experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting; and/or relevant work experience
Ability to read and understand financial statements and identify credit risk factors
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to handle multi-tasking with a high degree of problem-solving skills
2+ years of recent Excel AND Great Plains, JD Edwards and/or Oracle experience
