Credentialed Medical Coder

We are currently seeking a credentialed Medical Coder for a full-time position with an established medical office in the Sacramento area. This contract-to-hire role is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated team.

In this role, you will be using print or online manuals to select proper codes needed to classify any procedures performed, diagnostic information and treatment provided. If you are a Medical Coder looking for a new place to work, apply online today!

Responsibilities:

  • Remain in compliance with legal requirements re: coding procedures and practices
  • Perform chart audits
  • Use proper grammar and ensure documents are typo free
  • Train and advise physicians and staff on medical coding
  • Assign APC and DRG codes

Qualifications:

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Works well with people
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Protect patient confidentiality and sensitive information
