Accounting Principal has a real estate client in Richmond, VA that needs a Corporate Revenue Accountant for a contract to hire opportunity. 

The ideal Corporate Revenue Accountant candidates will have 2-3 years’ experience in accounting, be detail oriented, a multi-tasker, highly organized and be proficient in MS Excel (Yardi is also a plus.)

As a Corporate Revenue Accountant, you are responsible for recording revenue from Property Management Agreements (contracts) in the corporate accounting system to ensure revenue is in line with budget or forecast.

You will coordinate billing invoices to clients where appropriate and receivable follow-up internally or externally.

You are also responsible for setting up new contracts in various systems, extracting revenue components and recording appropriately. You will use office automated systems to input data, generate reports, conduct research projects and respond to inquiries.

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Intermediate to advance Excel skills.
  • Experience using accounting programs.
  • Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral.
  • Bonus skills and experience:

  • Actively pursuing the CPA designation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting software’s
  • Experience within the Real Estate industry.
