Controller

 

Accounting Principals is hiring a Controller for a well-known and growing client on the Eastside! This opportunity is particularly exciting for anyone who is looking to work with multiple entities, spearhead projects, and directly manage a team. You will also have a large hand in reporting and internal policy. If you’re passionate about working with external clients, providing management training, and helping associate level colleagues reach their career potential, you could be an excellent fit for this role.

 

Job Duties

  • Act as the point person for all Accounting related needs and inquiries
  • Effectively manage and lead the Accounting team
  • Ensure GAAP is being followed and that records are being maintained in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Facilitate internal and external auditing processes
  • Initiate and lead projects and the streamlining of policies and procedures
  • Properly compile records and handle all reporting duties
  • Handle yearly reviews, coaching, and mentorship of colleagues and associates
  • Additional duties as the business may require
  •  

    Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
  • Active CPA designation required
  • Minimum 5 years of Accounting experience
  • Minimum 2 years of managing an Accounting team
  • Mix of public and industry highly desired
  • Expert level Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, Index Match, Macros, etc.)
  • Highly professional written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and driven with a bias for action
