Accounting Principals is partnering with a stable construction company to identify an individual for a contract to hire Construction Bookkeeper job in El Cajon, CA. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of three years of experience within accounting and sales and use tax experience in the construction industry. The Construction Bookkeeper is responsible for processing accounts payable invoices, preparing and filing multi-state sales and use taxes, and assisting with various accounting responsibilities.
Construction Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable invoices (vendor and subcontractor invoices)
Prepare and file multi-state sales and use taxes
Assists with month-end close process
Assist with processing certified payroll
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years of previous experience in the construction industry
Experience with Vista Viewpoint software highly preferred
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong communication skills
