Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:
Identify, record and monitor all laws and regulations applicable to Credit Union operations. Maintain a working knowledge of those laws and regulations.
Oversee investigation of cases of fraud involving use of charge cards, ATM transactions, cash and check transactions and loan account. File all bond claims in relation to those fraud cases.
Oversee preparation of reports in conjunction with the Bank Secrecy Act and submits reports to proper authorities.
Monitor dormant and negative accounts.
Work with attorneys, auditors and examiners regularly in the development of appropriate controls to ensure compliance as well as during annual reviews.
Assist in response to complaints of noncompliance, considering the nature of the complaint, Credit union policies and applicable laws and regulations.
At least two years of experience working for a Credit Union
Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills required, both oral and written, to interact with members, management, and other Credit Union staff.
