Collections Specialist

Accounting Principals is partnering with a large, publicly traded company that is looking for a temporary Collections Specialist. The team needs someone who has professional communication skills and over five years of B2B collections experience. You will be reaching out to clients and troubleshooting missing payments. Since you will be working between three different software systems, it’s important that you are comfortable learning new technology quickly. You will work with a friendly team who will support you as you onboard remotely. However, you will be working remotely for the duration of this position, so you need to be able to self-manage and be successful working independently. Majority of the team is located in Seattle, WA but as long as you are flexible to work the hours the most closely align with the team, you can be located in another state. This position offers a quick interview process and could end up being a permanent spot for the right candidate!

Main Duties:

  • Monitoring accounts and following up on past due payments
  • Troubleshooting client inquiries and resolving missing payments
  • Updating the aging report
  • Identify and analyst credit status and risk when needed
  • Documentation of collection efforts and escalation if appropriate
  • Qualifications:

  • At least five years of B2B collections experience
  • Professional communication skills
  • Strong background in customer service
  • Ability to learn and navigate through software systems quickly
  • Able to work independently and prioritize your work
  • High attention to detail and ability to stay organized
