Do you enjoy using your problem-solving abilities? Our nationally recognized client located on the northeast side of Indianapolis is searching for a Collections Specialist to join their growing team. Your goal would be to reduce the amount owed to the organization through collection efforts. The ideal candidates has experience in business to business collections/ and is searching to make a career change!
 
Job Functions:

  • Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
  • Effectively manage collections activities for a large, multi-state, customer account portfolio
  • Resolves client-billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
  • Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates.
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management.
  • Collaborate with the AR Supervisor and Credit Analyst to appropriately identify risk customers and enforce credit terms, limits and restrictions.

    Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of corporate collections experience including interaction with a large customer base, business to business, required
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Access
  • Ability to effectively negotiate payments while maintaining strong, positive relationships with customer.
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult/sensitive customer interactions
