Our client, a world-class law firm located in Downtown Los Angeles, is looking for a Collections Manager to join their team. The Collection Manager will be responsible for managing and facilitating the collection activities for a multi-million dollar accounts receivable portfolio. The ideal candidate will have five years of collections and/or finance experience.
Job Description:
Analyze and determine the collectability of the Firm’s receivables and coordinate collection activities
Work closely with billing attorney and/or partner to maximize collection efforts
Research and resolve billing issues. Research disputes and identify solutions to minimize future disputes
Negotiate settlements with clients
Support with month end close
Handle additional collection related projects
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
Proficiency in Excel and Word; ability to learn new systems quickly
Knowledge of Elite accounting system
Knowledge of Bankruptcy law and related billing and collection procedures
