Our client, a world-class law firm located in Downtown Los Angeles, is looking for a Collections Manager to join their team.  The Collection Manager will be responsible for managing and facilitating the collection activities for a multi-million dollar accounts receivable portfolio.   The ideal candidate will have five years of collections and/or finance experience.   

Job Description:

  • Analyze and determine the collectability of the Firm’s receivables and coordinate collection activities
  • Work closely with billing attorney and/or partner to maximize collection efforts
  • Research and resolve billing issues.  Research disputes and identify solutions to minimize future disputes
  • Negotiate settlements with clients
  • Support with month end close
  • Handle additional collection related projects

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word; ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Knowledge of Elite accounting system
  • Knowledge of Bankruptcy law and related billing and collection procedures
