If you have experience with workers compensation claims, this may be the perfect role for you! The starting salary ranges between $33-52K, depending on experience and certifications.
Conducts investigations by contacting the employer, doctor, and employee.
Takes recorded statements and gathers witness statements.
Obtains medical authorization and requests medical records.
Schedules medical evaluations when necessary.
Provides letters of denial to all involved parties.
Authorizes medical treatment and specialists.
Notifies adverse parties of the client’s right to subrogation.
Contacts defense attorney and client immediately upon receipt of a notice that a claim has become litigated.
Keeps track of all court and deposition dates, doctor’s appointments, return to work dates, etc., and overall claim status with the use of the “notes” portion of the claims system.
Approves payment of medical bills, litigation related expense, provides documentation, and completes filing to bring conclusion to assigned claim files.
All other duties as assigned necessary to process claims
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
2+ years of related experance and the ability/interest in geting Workers Compensation Adjuster License
Strong customer service skills
