Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients in the construction looking to fill a Certified Payroll Specialist job for the corporate office located in Oakland, CA.   You should have at least 2 years of experience in payroll and at least one year dealing with a certified payroll. The position will be responsible for handling 200 employee’s, ensuring that all the certified payroll hours, benefits, and deductions are recorded properly, based on the unions, job, and location.  

 

Qualifications for the job include:

- Solid foundation of payroll fundamentals, rules, and regulations

- Understanding LCP Tracker, Elations and DIR preferred

- Experience with an In-house payroll  using an ERP software platform

- Construction experience is required

- Strong overall accounting knowledge understanding debits and credits

- Comfortable working in-office (100%)

- Reliable, multi-task oriented, deadline driven 

- Attention to detail, confidential, and organized

- Strong communications (written & verbal)

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)

 

Experience: 2 years of payroll experience and at least one year processing a certified payroll

Compensation: $27.00 – $32.00

Employment Type: Temp to Hire (3 to 4 months as a temporary associate)
