A small company in downtown Seattle is looking for a temporary Bookkeeper to help for the next three months. You must have QuickBooks experience and be comfortable with full cycle accounting tasks. You will partner directly with the Controller, but you will be responsible for AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations. It is preferred that this person have at least five years of accounting experience plus a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Or the hiring manager will consider a candidate with applicable experience to substitute for the degree. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time in the office and part of the time from home once you are fully trained. You will work with a supportive manager who is not someone who micromanages. The team needs someone to help right away so the interview process will move quickly.

Job responsibilities:

  • Full cycle accounts payable processing
  • Reviewing and managing expense reports
  • Processing payroll and auditing time cards
  • Posting payments, processing chargebacks, updating aging reports
  • Reconciling bank statements and vendor accounts
  • Posting journal entries
  • Additional tasks as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred
  • Five or more years of accounting experience
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Ability to work efficiently without oversight
  • High attention to detail and someone extremely organized
