Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Bookkeeper job opportunity for the corporate office located in Oakland, CA.  This position is 100 percent in-office! The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or Staff Accountant and be comfortable and confident being the sole accounting person within the office. The position will be responsible for managing the day to day accounting activities including; accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, produce various reports, balance sheet, P&L, project cost funding, insurance administration, payroll tax, and assist with other duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications for the job include:

- Strong knowledge of accounting knowing your debits and credits and general accounting

- Software experience with Quickbooks is required

- Industry experience with contraction or real estate would be preferred

- Team player, confident, able to work independently

- Reliable, a can-do attitude, gets the job done

- Detailed, a problem-solver,  and organized

- Strong communications both written and verbal comfortable with project managers and company management

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)

- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree would be a plus 


Experience: 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper (Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, Office Manger)

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000
