Accounting Principals has partnered with a large automotive manufacturer/supplier in the Louisville, KY area who is searching for a strong Assistant Controller to add to their team. Prior Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturing experience is a requirement for this position. 


  • Assistant Controller will support/supervise full cycle accounting & finance functions
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting along with financial analysis for the plant
  • Process management level payroll, benefits and 401K transactions using ADP
  • Manage inter-company transactions.
  • Assist with cost accounting functions
  • Manage monthly closes, review/prepare journal entries, review/prepare B/S account reconciliations along with year-end close
  • Monitor SOX compliance
  • Supervise senior/staff level accountants
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturing experience required
  • 5 or more years of experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory position for a large company in the automotive industry
  • Must be proficient in Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables, if statements, etc.).
  • Oracle or SAP experience highly preferred but not required.
