Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients looking to fill an Assistant Controller job for the corporate office located in Martinez, CA.  This position is hybrid and will be remote 2 to 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have public accounting experience at a senior or supervisor level. The role will report directly to the VP of Finance and have an integral part of the day to day accounting and finance activities of a company headed to be publicly traded in 2022 or 2023. The role will be heavily focused on the general ledger (month, quarter, year-end), assist with the audit, reconciliations, reporting, oversee payable and receivable, inventory and fixed assets including costing and variance analysis, develop and implement systems and efficiencies, and assist with other projects as assigned.


Qualifications for the job include:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

- CPA experience preferred (CPA Preferred)

- Strong technical accounting knowledge knowing your general accounting (GAAP)

- Industry experience in medical manufacturing a plus

- Software experience with a large ERP software preferred

- Team player, go-getter, able to work independently, and take initiative

- Reliable, bright, a positive attitude, and gets the job done

- Detailed, a problem-solver, and organized

- Solid communications (written & verbal)

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)


Experience: 3 to 5 years of Accounting experience

Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 (DOE)
