AP/AR Specialist Job in Wood Dale, IL
Do you have a minimum of three years’ Account Payable and Accounts Receivable experience? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We have an immediate AP/AR opening with one of our clients in Wood Dale, IL. This is an up and coming Property Management Company with a really fun work culture and employee focused atmosphere. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Accounting Department with both payables, receivables and expense reporting.
• Code all accounts payable invoices and ensure that all required supporting documentation is attached
• Ad hoc projects
• Monitor monthly vendor statements to ensure timely payment of all invoices
• Cash Application and reconciliation of deposits from lockbox, wire transfers and local branch deposits
• Review and process payment and credit requests
• Research chargebacks and determine action required
• Research shipment shortages, overages and damages
• Aging report review
• Collections of past due accounts- email and phone calls
Sought Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of combined AP and AR experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task without loss of efficiency or composure
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to learn software quickly and accurately
• Proven efficient organizational and time management techniques
• General knowledge of accounting and proficient mathematical skills
• High school diploma required (some college preferred)
