AP Specialist

Homewood, IL

Temp to perm – would convert after 90 days

Up to $19/hour


Job Description

  • Enter Supplier invoices into ERP systems
  • Research Purchase Order variances
  • Develop a strong working relationship with Purchasing and Operations
  • Communicate with suppliers concerning invoices, statements, and payments
  • Assist when needed with automated document management system
  • Prioritize workload
  • Organize and maintain documents
  • Follow through with complex transactions
  • Special projects as needed

    Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of A/P experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Understands the importance of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Accounting transactions
  • Understanding of the General Ledger
  • Experience with document management systems a plus
  • Works well with others
  • Proficient in Excel 

    *Will need to take a 10-Key data entry assessment
